Held in Guangzhou on Friday, the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) China Studies Scholars Forum welcomed hundreds of experts from 16 APEC economies. They held in-depth talks about China’s development and the future of the Asia-Pacific region.
Jack Kariko, Investment Advisor of the Office of Papua New Guinea, told the SFC that he believes APEC is an important regional platform. It enables developed and developing economies to cooperate closely on multiple fronts, boosting people-to-people connections, trade and all-round partnerships.
As China is set to host APEC in November, delegates look forward to deeper collaboration in trade, green industries and digital economy.
