The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) was held from November 12 to November 17 in Zhuhai. This year's airshow featured a dedicated low-altitude economy pavilion, showcasing a wide range of enterprises and application scenarios related to the low-altitude economy.
During the airshow, David Bausek, Global Technical Director of Diamond Aircraft, told us that China's low-altitude economy industry is built on a solid market foundation, with many manufacturers emerging in this field. He predicts that the sector in China will experience rapid growth in the near future. Regarding the technological development of low-altitude aircraft, Bausek believes that, compared to helicopters, electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft have clear advantages across the board, offering a longer range, faster speeds, and higher safety levels.
Diamond Aircraft is a manufacturer of fixed-wing general aviation aircraft. It's understood Wanfeng Group plans to gradually establish one headquarters, four general aviation manufacturing bases, and seven delivery centers in China. The Group also focuses on the development of electric aircraft, piston engines, eVTOLs, drones, and other related projects.
