The 2024 Understanding China International Conference is held in Guangzhou. While attending the conference, Yao Yang, a senior economist at Peking University said that under the impact of Western culture, the Chinese culture has not declined but has instead grown stronger. Ultimately, China's modernization must stem from its own roots, absorbing what is valuable from the West, and ultimately transforming it into something distinctly our own.
