Domestic "Canton Fair" to kick off this September in Guangzhou

Amid complex and volatile global economic conditions and drastic shifts in the external environment this year, Chinese enterprises are actively innovating and transforming their business strategies to tap into new growth opportunities in the domestic market.

How is Guangdong supporting these enterprises in building platforms and expanding marketing opportunities? At a press briefing on July 7, our reporters learned that the inaugural event for the Guangdong Premium Products Exhibition will be held from September 12 to 14 at Hall B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex (the Canton Fair Complex). Modeled after top-tier consumer goods exhibitions in both China and abroad, this exhibition aims to become a key platform for integrating the development of domestic and international trade while exploring market-oriented exhibition models to support enterprises in expanding their domestic sales.

With a strong focus on domestic demand, the Guangdong Premium Products Exhibition is expected to feature over 1,000 exhibitors, including Oppein Home, TCL Electronics, and Midea, along with more than 2,000 professional buyers such as JD.com, VIP.com, Taobao and Tmall Group, attracting over 80,000 domestic and international professional attendees. Additionally, "one-on-one" targeted invitations will be extended to retail giants like Walmart, as well as key professional buyers from ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and other regions.

Wang Hui, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Lingnan International Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Group, stated that the goal is to translate the exhibition's "popularity" into "long-term consumer momentum". To that end, the group will collaborate with major commercial hubs in Guangzhou, such as Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Tianhe Central Business District (CBD), to launch a parallel "Guangdong Premium Products Carnival" roadshow, bringing high-quality products directly to the main shopping areas and communities in Guangzhou. Leveraging the membership networks of Lingnan Group subsidiaries like GZL International Travel Service and Grandbuy, the event will also distribute targeted "premium product consumption vouchers" to participating businesses. This event is expected to reach over 500,000 members.
