On December 26, the 2025 Overseas Chinese Expo and World Teochew Cuisine Conference grandly opened in Shantou.
The event attracted over 2,000 professional buyers from China and abroad, including 100 top-tier buyers. Exhibitors hailed from 10 cities such as Chaozhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions (SAR), as well as over 10 countries including Thailand and India.
The expo featured two main halls, including a Comprehensive Pavilion and a Food Pavilion. It serves as a bridge for international collaboration, expanding channels for the global reach of Chaoshan cuisine. It attracted 193 enterprises from more than 10 Guangdong cities, Hong Kong and Macao SARs, Taiwan, and over 10 countries including Thailand.
The exhibits covered the entire food industry chain, from ingredients and pre-prepared meals to kitchenware. The event drew over 2,000 professional buyers for negotiations during its run.
