On January 19, the Press Conference on "Achievements of Guangdong's 14th Five-Year Plan – Chaozhou Session" was held in Guangzhou, highlighting the overall progress and key achievements of Chaozhou's economic and social development during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Chaozhou, a "porcelain capital" in China, has propelled its intelligent sanitary ware industry through a transformative evolution from quantitative accumulation to qualitative leap. Leveraging its millennia-old ceramic-making heritage and comprehensive policy support, Chaozhou has built a complete industrial chain covering core components, whole unit manufacturing, and R&D and testing. Its annual output of smart toilets reached 5.6 million units, accounting for over 30% of the national total, meaning one out of every three smart toilets in China is made in Chaozhou. The city also produces nearly 50% of the nation's light smart toilets.
