China should create a good environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), said Liu He, member of the Politburo and Vice Premier at a forum on Tuesday morning. He stressed that the government must improve service awareness and abilities, create a good business environment, and cultivate and support specialized enterprises. 

27日上午，中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理刘鹤在峰会上表示，要为中小企业发展创造良好环境。政府要提高服务意识和服务能力，创造良好的营商环境，培育和扶持“专精特新”企业。

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, urging the United States to drop arrogance and prejudice and steer back to a rational and pragmatic China policy. Wang said China sticks to the path of peaceful development and follows an open strategy of win-win cooperation. He also said the two sides should enhance mutual understanding, erase misunderstanding, avoid misjudgment and better manage differences via constant dialogues.

国务委员兼外长王毅26日在天津会见美国常务副国务卿舍曼，希望美方放弃傲慢偏见，回到理性务实的对华政策上来。王毅表示，中国将继续坚持走和平发展道路，奉行互利共赢的开放战略。中美双方应通过不间断对话增进了解，消除误解，防止误判，更好管控分歧。

The Chinese government will allocate several billion yuan from the central budget reserve funds to support reconstruction in regions seriously hit by floods, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Monday. Zhengzhou Metro released the complete list of all 14 people killed in Line 5’s flooding last week.

China won 3 gold medals today in 10-meter air rifle mixed final, 10-meter air pistol mixed final, and women's diving in synchronised 10-meter platform. As of 5 p.m on Tuesday, China secured 9 golds, 5 silvers and 7 bronzes, ranking second in the Olympic medal race.

Chinese mainland reported 31 new local cases yesterday, all from Nanjing in Jiangsu Province. As of midnight yesterday, Nanjing has reported a total of 106 locally transmitted cases. The chain of infections has spread to 5 provinces and 9 cities. Health authorities in Nanjing also confirmed the Delta variant was identified in the recent outbreak. 

全国昨日新增31例本土确诊病例，均为南京市报告。截至7月26日24时，南京全市累计报告本土确诊病例106例。本轮疫情传播链共涉及5省9市。据27日南京疫情防控发布会通报，引起这次疫情的病毒毒株是德尔塔毒株。

建党百年，开创新局

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Tibet's peaceful liberation. During the past seven decades, Tibet has made great achievements in alleviating poverty. The per capita disposable income for the region's rural residents in 2020 rose by 12.7 percent to reach 14,598 yuan, a double-digit increase for 18 consecutive years. By the end of 2019, all the 628,000 registered poor people and 74 poor counties in the region had shaken off poverty. Meanwhile, the Chinese central government allocated an accumulative investment of 1.63 trillion yuan in the past 70 years. Over 590 billion yuan of the total investment were put into the construction of major projects such as the Sichuan-Tibet Highway and Qinghai-Tibet Railway. 

2021年是西藏和平解放70周年。七十年来，西藏在脱贫攻坚方面取得了巨大成就。2020年全区农村居民人均可支配收入14598元，同比增长12.7%，连续18年保持两位数增长。截至2019年底，全区62.8万建档立卡贫困人口已全部脱贫，74个贫困县区全部摘帽，历史性消除了绝对贫困问题。与此同时，西藏和平解放70年来，中央财政累计投入1.63万亿元。其中5900亿元被用于建设川藏公路、青藏铁路等一批带动区域经济发展的重大项目。

China's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 4.22 trillion yuan in the first half of 2021, an increase of 66.9 percent year-on-year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Tuesday.

国家统计局7月27日公布数据，1-6月份，全国规模以上工业企业实现利润总额42183.3亿元，同比增长66.9%。

The number of market entities handling tax-related businesses for the first time exceeded 6.24 million in the first six months, up 27.3 percent from the same period last year, the State Taxation Administration said Monday.  

国家税务总局26日发布数据显示，今年上半年，全国新办涉税市场主体624.3万户，同比增长27.3%。

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said Monday that China will lower the retail prices of gasoline and diesel from Tuesday by 100 yuan and 95 yuan per ton respectively. It is the first cut in nearly four months. 

国家发展改革委26日称，根据近期国际市场油价变化情况，按照现行成品油价格形成机制，自2021年7月26日24时起，国内汽油、柴油价格每吨分别降低100元和95元。这是近4个月来我国汽油、柴油价格首次下调。

Seven departments including the State Administration for Market Regulation on Monday issued a guideline to protect the rights and interests of food delivery workers. Employers should ensure that food delivery workers earn no less than the local minimum wage. The "strictest algorithm" should not be used as an assessment requirement and the delivery time requirements should be appropriately relaxed. Food delivery giant Meituan’s Hong Kong-traded shares continued plummeting 17.6 percent to close at HK$194 after a nearly 14 percent drop yesterday.  

7月26日，市场监管总局等七部门联合印发《关于落实网络餐饮平台责任 切实维护外卖送餐员权益的指导意见》，对保障外卖送餐员正当权益提出全方位要求。在保障劳动收入方面，要求平台建立与工作任务、劳动强度相匹配的收入分配机制，确保外卖送餐员正常劳动所得不低于当地最低工资标准。不得将“最严算法”作为考核要求，适当放宽配送时限。消息一出，昨日美团股价收跌13.76%，今天继续下挫，收报194港元，跌幅17.6%。

Tencent's WeChat has temporarily suspended registration of new users as it undergoes a technical upgrade, China's dominant instant messaging platform said on Tuesday. It is expected to resume service in early August.

The third generation of the world’s largest maker of oyster sauce Lee Kum Kee Group and the chairman of the Hong Kong-based company, Lee Man-tat, passed away Tuesday at the age of 91. Lee is worth $17.4 billion according to Forbes, making him the sixth richest man in Hong Kong.

Chinese stocks continued yesterday’s downward trend on Tuesday, with turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges topped 1.5 trillion yuan. The Shanghai Composite Index plunged 2.44 percent, at 3382 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 3.67 percent lower at 14039 points.

周二股市延续下跌趋势，沪深两市成交额突破1.5万亿元。截至收盘，沪指跌2.44%，报收3382点；深成指跌3.67%，报收14093点。
